Lyrics, composition, and performance all done by me, myself, and I. My first try at piano. Recorded at home with the help of friend and Sound Engineer Reid Ferris.
These were the very first lyrics I wrote after uncovering my desire to write songs in 2013. The piano part came later, in 2014. Seemingly unrelated, both sat on the shelf gathering dust until my trip to France in 2016 where they magically met and became this song. More about my process...

Big life changes. Wanting to run away. Dreaming about a solo cross-country road trip. All of these inspired the lyrics of this song.
Recorded at the Imperial Room by KEXP Sound Engineer Kevin Suggs and filled out by Josh Schramm (guitar, backing vocals), the late Sugar McGuinn (bass), and Jeff Hayes (drums). All four are fellow bandmates from the local Seattle band Modern Relics. More about my process...

Love Me With No Reason is about overcoming difficulty in relationship and honoring the commitment of love. This song started as a one stanza lullaby, with no intentions for the original form to become a full length song, but voila!
